2019 Valley of Flowers Parade

Valley of Flowers FestivalThis year’s Valley of Flowers Parade Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the FVFPD with the theme “A Centennial of Caring…Then, Now and Tomorrow”.

 

Over 100 participants will leave the James J. Eagan Center at 1:45 p.m. and proceed along the parade route.  Be sure to arrive early to get a good viewing seat and watch for floats and vehicles decorated to reflect the last 100 years of service.

Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) Bid Notice

Public NoticeThe Florissant Valley Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids per specifications for a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) for Fire Department Use. Specifications may be obtained at the Fire District Administrative Offices, 661 Saint Ferdinand Street, Florissant, Missouri 63031, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Friday. The RFP also may be obtained here: 

All bids should be marked “SEALED BID/UTV” and mailed or delivered to the Fire District Administrative Offices no later than 12:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2019. All bids are scheduled to be opened by the Board of Directors at their meeting on April 23, 2019 at the Fire District Administrative Offices.

The Florissant Valley Fire Protection District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive variations or formalities, and to negotiate changes, additions, or deletions. The Fire District reserves the right to accept the bid it deems to be in the Fire District’s best interest and will not necessarily be obligated to accept the lowest bid. The Fire District also reserves the right to extend the timeframe to submit bids, as well as extending the time frame to open the bids. Computer Bid Requests

The Florissant Valley Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids per specifications for computers to be used for the purpose of documenting patient care reports. Specifications may be obtained at the Fire District Administrative Offices, 661 Saint Ferdinand Street, Florissant, Missouri 63031, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Friday.

All bids should be marked “SEALED BID/Computer” and mailed or delivered to the Fire District Administrative Offices no later than 3:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2019. All bids are scheduled to be opened by the Board of Directors at their meeting on February 26, 2019 at the Fire District Administrative Offices.

New Chief and Pinning Ceremony

FVFPD Recognition Ceremony and Swearing In of New Chief
Ceremonies were held Tuesday evening January 29th at the Florissant Justice Center marking the change in command at the District, promotions in the ranks, recognition of busiest fire and ambulance crews and the swearing in of new Firefighter Paramedics beginning their careers at the District.

  • Individual who ran the most calls:  AJ Freihoff, 1,021 calls
  • Busiest Ambulance Crew: Brian McHugh & Jeremy Edwards, 1,935 calls
  • Shift with most working fires: C Shift, 32 fires
  • Busiest Shift: A Shift, 5,318 calls
  • Busiest Truck Crew: A Shift Crew 4015, 675 calls

TEAM Food Pantry

Personnel from the Florissant Valley Fire Department assist in the loading of over 20,000 pounds of food to be used by the TEAM Food Pantry, a local organization that offers food to needy families in this area. This is a regular activity of the FVFPD and the FVPD.
