This year’s Valley of Flowers Parade Celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the FVFPD with the theme “A Centennial of Caring…Then, Now and Tomorrow”.
Over 100 participants will leave the James J. Eagan Center at 1:45 p.m. and proceed along the parade route. Be sure to arrive early to get a good viewing seat and watch for floats and vehicles decorated to reflect the last 100 years of service.
The District is accepting sealed bids per specifications for a mechanical CPR device to provide continuous, uninterrupted chest compressions to patients in cardiac arrest. All bids must be delivered to the Fire District Admin Office no later than 12:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2019.
The Florissant Valley Fire Protection District is accepting sealed bids per specifications for a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) for Fire Department Use. Specifications may be obtained at the Fire District Administrative Offices, 661 Saint Ferdinand Street, Florissant, Missouri 63031, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Friday. All bids should be marked “SEALED BID/UTV” and mailed or delivered to the Fire District Administrative Offices no later than 12:00 PM Friday, April 19, 2019. All bids are scheduled to be opened by the Board of Directors at their meeting on April 23, 2019 at the Fire District Administrative Offices.

Ceremonies were held Tuesday evening January 29th at the Florissant Justice Center marking the change in command at the District, promotions in the ranks, recognition of busiest fire and ambulance crews and the swearing in of new Firefighter Paramedics beginning their careers at the District.

Personnel from the Florissant Valley Fire Department assist in the loading of over 20,000 pounds of food to be used by the TEAM Food Pantry, a local organization that offers food to needy families in this area. This is a regular activity of the FVFPD and the FVPD.
