Bicycle helmet fittings
A properly fitted helmet is the single most important factor in preventing head injuries for young bicyclists. On October 29, 2003, the Florissant City Council enacted a helmet ordinance (No. 6913) requiring protective headgear for anyone under seventeen while bicycling, in-line skating, roller skating, operating a scooter, or skateboarding.
To make helmets affordable, the District sells and fits helmets for $5. This service is available Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Administration Office, 661 St. Ferdinand, Florissant, MO.
