The International Fire Code 2021 edition states in Section 308.1.4 that the use of any charcoal burning, other open flame, and liquefied-petroleum-gas-fueled (propane) cooking devices shall not be operated on combustible (wood) balconies or within 10 feet of combustible (wood) construction.
